Seghito’s musical journey began at 17 at the Tanzania House of Talent, before performing alongside some of Tanzania’s leading artists and co-founding The No Strings Attached Band. Since 2015, she has carved her own path as a solo artist, performing across Africa and Europe.
Today, Seghito brings more than a decade of songwriting, collaboration and live performance into Swahili Jazz — weaving jazz, soul and East African rhythms through Kiswahili storytelling. Her music moves between intimacy and groove, carrying stories of womanhood, love, resilience and everyday life.
On stage, that experience comes alive: a commanding voice, an instinct for rhythm, and music made to connect beyond language.
